Terms & cancellation

These terms apply to gatherings booked through nosaraskin.com.
What a gathering is
A Nosara gathering is a small-group, hands-on formulation class. You learn how to formulate natural skincare yourself, guided by the host, and you make products for your own personal use. No recipes are handed out: what you take home is the skill of formulating, along with the products you made. The products are not intended to be sold and are not certified as commercial cosmetics. Date, place and price are shown at the time of booking.
Booking and payment
A spot is confirmed when payment is received. The price, date and maximum number of participants are shown for each gathering (Gothenburg, Trollhättan or at home) before you book. For example, the Trollhättan gathering on 7 November costs 650 SEK per person, all materials included, with a maximum of 6 participants. Prices include VAT where applicable. Before payment, for every gathering, you are asked to confirm that you have read these terms, that this is a formulation class with no recipes provided, and the allergy and responsibility statement. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. You will receive a confirmation and receipt by email.
Cancellation by you
- Cancel 7 days or more before the gathering: full refund.
- Cancel less than 7 days before the gathering: no refund, and the full amount paid is forfeited.
Because gatherings are leisure activities held on a specific date, the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases does not apply once a date is booked (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(l)).
Cancellation by us
If we cancel, for example due to illness or too few participants, you get a full refund or a spot on another date, whichever you prefer. We will tell you as early as possible.
Home gatherings
Home gatherings are arranged individually. Until 15 November they take place on weekends; from 15 November, on weekdays after 18:00 or on weekends. Price, group size and date are confirmed with you before payment. Travel area and minimum group size are agreed with you before you pay.
Allergies, skin sensitivity and your own responsibility
You make and use the products you create at a gathering under your own responsibility. Please report any allergies or skin sensitivities to us in advance, by email to geannina.alfaro@nosaraskin.com before the gathering, so we can plan for them. After you book, we send you a confirmation email with the ingredient list for the gathering; please reply to confirm your allergies, or that you have none, before the gathering. Nosara cannot be held responsible for a reaction to an ingredient that you did not report to us before the gathering, to the extent permitted by law. This does not limit liability for injury caused by our negligence, or any rights you have under mandatory consumer law. Gatherings use natural ingredients, including nut oils, butters, essential oils and plant extracts. Tell us about any allergies or skin conditions when you book. Natural does not mean allergy-free; please patch test anything you make before using it widely, and stop using it if you react.
Your conduct
Please be kind and respectful to the group. We may ask someone to leave if they disrupt the gathering, without refund.
Photos
We may take photos at a gathering only with the permission of everyone shown, and you can opt out at any time.
Liability
We take care in preparing and running every gathering. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot be excluded by law.
